As part of the project to expand traffic management in the city of Jena, SCF started installing environmental sensors in 2021. The data was also transmitted to a central management system of the city and provides significant input for the traffic in the city.

The determination of air quality indicators by SMART.sensor provides valuable data for the city's traffic management and can be used further down the line to regulate traffic.

SMART.sensor enables the integration of manufacturer-independent sensors in an infrastructure and secure data processing and transmission via EdgeComputer. Through further integration points, the solution can be supplemented by a wide range of sensors on the already installed EdgeComputer. The city displays the data directly in its own system and uses the retrieval of data via API interface for this purpose.
